Cloth Diapers are the Natural Way to Diapering

Is there really a better way to diaper? Any natural fabric is better for a child’s skin regardless of the other benefits of using a cloth diaper. It requires you to change their diapers more often which overall is better for a child’s skin and health.
Rashes are a huge concern for most parents and preventing them should be a priority. Infections, itching, burning and redness can result from using disposable diapers. There is no reason to subject a child’s skin to chemicals when there are alternate options available. Rashes will not appear because of allergic reactions if you choose to use the cloth diaper method. The only rashes a child using a cloth diaper will experience are ones that come from being left in a dirty diaper too long or the diapers not being properly washed. Some people fail to rinse all of the soap out. Those rashes are not related to diaper type.
Comfort is another concern for parents. Velcro, scatchy materials and tight elastic around the legs and stomach often cause discomfort to a mobile child. With cloth diapers the material is soft and nonabrasive. It’s like an absorbent blanket on their bottom end. In any temperature, these diapers will always remain body temperature. The natural feeling of cloth is also satisfying to the parents who must handle the diapers on a daily basis.
Unfortunately, these miracle diapers do have some down sides. Realistically, most parents prefer the convenience of throwing diapers away immediately than have to deal with the mess. Stay at home moms are few and far between. Working moms just don’t have time to do soak diapers and do extra loads of laundry. These working moms also have to take their child to a day care or babysitter. Because cloth diapers aren’t the popular method of diapering you may not have a child care provider willing or able to handle cloth diapering. Because of strict child care requirements, a diaper must meet certain criteria. The newest forms of cloth diapers easily accommodate but because of their history as the less containing and sanitary form, most day cares are reluctant to accept cloth diapering.
If your able to invest the time in order to save your child from preventable rashes and offer the utmost comfort for your baby, consider using a cloth diaper. Natural is the way to go especially when it comes to your newborn child.
