Infant Baby Stroller have Unique Needs

When you are searching for a stroller for a newborn infant, you ned to make sure you select one that is appropriate for the tiny size of infants. Not all strollers can accomodate infants and in fact can be dangerous as they are not designed with an infant in mind.

An infant baby stroller has two main requirements: it must have a reclining back and it must have a 5 point safety harness.

A reclining back is needed for infants as they are not able to support their body in an upright position until they are older. Infants also spend a good part of their time sleeping, a reclning back folds into a flat sleeping surface for their sleeping comfort. Make sure you trt the bak to make sure it folds into a completely flat position, some models only fold three quarter of the way. Ideally the seat and the back covers should be removable and made from a washable material which will help you deal with the inevitable spills and accidents.

Child strollers made for infants should include a 5 point harness which supports them in an upright position. In addition, it prevents the infant from slipping underneath the safety belts and becoming stuck. A flimsy belt will not prevent that from happening.
